Over the past ten years, Vail Resorts has invested over $125 million in improvements to Vail Mountain. Now, Vail Resorts is investing over $500 million in both Vail Village and LionsHead, a significant part of the Town of Vail's Billion Dollar Renewal. Already, Vail Resorts Development Company has completed the new LionsHead skier bridge, as well as Founders Garage and Parker's Green. In addition, construction of Gore Creek Place has been completed. The Arrabelle at Vail Square had its Grand Opening in December, with the hotel and skier services opening for business, along with several resturants and many new retail shops. The new RockResorts Spa is open, along with the fitness center and ice skating rink, while closings have started on the residential units. Vail Square has become a new hub of activity and is only the beginning of the redevelopment of LionsHead. Located just to the west and in the midst of the LionsHead redevelopment is The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail, which is currently under construction; this latest project features 71 wholly-owned condominiums and is situated just steps away from the proposed new Ever Vail gondola and new portal to the mountain. |
